Day 16

Greetings! Today was the last day of "Our Great Western Adventure." We got up this morning, ate breakfast and hit the road. We left Jonesboro, AR and soon were in Memphis, TN. Here is a shot of the Pyramid as we crossed over into TN. The Tennessee state sign has never looked so beautiful as it did today! Even though we've had a great journey, we were both glad to see it.

There wasn't much excitement on the road today. Thank God! Only a clear, blue sky, very little traffic and dry conditions. Here are a few statistics that might interest you. Matthew and I drove 6,073 miles, visited 14 states, saw 3 national monuments, went to 11 national parks and spent $547.24 for gasoline.

Our drive today was only about 4 & 1/2 hours. This was a wonderful experience for both of us. We'll remember this trip for the rest of our lives, but we hope it's not a "once in a lifetime trip." Matthew and I would like to thank everyone for reading the blog and your encouraging comments.
