Day 2

We left St. Charles early and headed west. We took turns driving and Amy drove through Kansas City. She was pretty nervous, but she did great.

Amy thought Missouri was beautiful with its miles of corn fields and farm houses.

Just south of the Iowa state line was a wind farm. Those wind turbines are huge!

We ate lunch in Sioux City, Iowa and headed on up to South Dakota. SD in my opinion is the most scenic state we've seen so far. It's miles of unbroken crop land, but unlike Missouri and Iowa there are rolling hills that add to the beauty.

We decided to stop for the night in Chamberlain, SD. Our motel is right on the banks of the Missouri river.
This photo is taken from the hill behind our motel.

We drove approximately 800 miles today alone. We've now been in 6 states and traveled about 1,200 miles.
